Abstract
All of the XML specifications define several levels of conformity and validity. These levels are defined in separate standard documents which are a bit hard to embrace and comprehend all at once. This pace is created to clearify these levels and try to keep them all in one place. It is also the intention of this pace to form some sort of language to the specification on this subject.

Rationale
XML has a few levels of conformity. These levels are:
-
Well-formed XML.
-
The XML needs to be well-formed accordint to the
XML 1.0 specification.
-
Well-served XML.
-
The XML needs to be served correctly within the context. If an XML document is served over HTTP, there are a conglomerate of specificatins to pay attention to, most specifically
RFC 3023 (more RFC's here!).
-
Valid XML.
-
The XML needs to be valid according to an applied DTD or Schema document.
AnswerMe: Are there more levels of conformity, and can each level be more explicit and have more explaination?
