The content in the issues tracking is drawn from the discussion itself. About a sentence worth's is taken from the content to use in the tracking information, a "sound bite" or key point. Make it easy for us to pick it out by making it stand out: as a standalone sentence or the title of a message.
-
Indicate clearly whether you are agreeing, disagreeing, asking a question, providing examples or counter-examples, or providing information (data points).
-
Issue tracking only points into the Atom wiki or atom-syntax mail list. Feel free to copy-n-paste the most important bits from outside sources, and then provide a link to the full source.
-
Break your arguments up into small, concise chunks. Use different email messages, break out topics into new wiki pages. Long replies and comments with many different points cannot be tracked easily.
-
Don't repeat yourself or others, link to the original arguments. (Normal quoting of followups is ok, this is in reference to repeating a point or argument already made.)
