Credit is not a zero sum game

Dave Winer: On the other hand, with my source out there, all of it, I don't see how I can get credit, in any way, for what I've created.  Those that seek credit are often disappointed.  Those that seek to minimize the public perception of their own role are often surprised.

Dave will verify this - when he called me, I minimized my role in all of this.  Yet Mark states that I deserve at least half the credit. All I can say is wow.

RSS Validator Open Source.

That's superficial and preachy Sam.

But very wise. And true to boot!

Nah. He's contradicting himself. By pointing this out, he's claiming credit. Anyway, practicing humility is always a good idea, no disagreement about that. But if I want to pay my mortgage, and buy health insurance, I need credit. See what I mean?

The RSS validator is something that I helped create. The source is out there. All of it.

I am pointing out today that yesterday I got ample credit for such a thing. Well before I so much as said wow. It is possible.

Credit is not a pissing match
