Empty Nest

Melyssa Allen: Meredith College will welcome new students during Move-In Day this Saturday, Aug. 14.  The College expects approximately 375 students.

One of those is our daughter.

Every night is “date night” ... for you or your daughter?

My daughter starts high school this year. Driving around the neighborhood, I see boys of the same age react with “Oh, look! A pretty girl...” followed immediately by “Oh shit! Her father is looking at me!”.

I am so not ready for this....
