Wii Fit

Bought a WII fit two weeks ago when it first went on sale.  It hasn’t replaced going to the gym, but I will say that my wife and I have integrated it into our daily lives.  I recommend it.  Not because of the amazing graphics, but because the “training” is entertaining and psychological engineering is impressive — everything from continuous encouragement in the form of cheerful “good jobs!” to continuous measuring, tracking and reporting on your progress.

I find that I’m good at activities that require me to stand relatively still on two feet — things like the “Warrior Pose” and even “Table Tilt”, but not quite so good at activities either that require rapid shifting such as “Soccer Heading” or standing on one foot such as “Tree”.  I can do “Push Ups and Side Planks” with ease, but can’t for the life of me do “Hula Hoops”.  I am getting better at “Ski Slalom” though — I’ve actually managed to make it down the hill without missing any of the flagged regions — once.

Augh, everyone I know is getting the Wii Fit.  I stand resolute in being lazy.  Also in not buying a Wii.

Wii Fit is a new way to exercise. Im a gym person...The first impression that comes to my mind is a tool to be lazy..or an excuse to say you did a few jumping jacks..and began to sweat.  Maybe overweight people can really benefit.  Those who are unble to go tothe gym..or leave the home  due to a weight issue..or health issue.  But it can easily become an excuse to say you workout.  Surely its not a replacement for the gm.  Its costly..like the Ab Lounger and lust like that chair..it too will fad.  For those who are trying t...good luck...but don’t stop there!  Please don’t!
