James Holderness: Twenty contestants! Thirty-one tests! Spanning three hundred years and fourteen time zones! ... Sorry, I got a little over excited there. These are the results of my RSS date tests.
Sobering.
It’s just data

I am no doubt missing an obvious hyperlink somewhere, but where are the actual tests?
Posted by Mark atSimilarly, it seems I missed the hyperlink to the results so I can find what [if anything] I have to fix in RSS Bandit.
Posted by Dare Obasanjo atYeah... where are those tests?
Posted by Robert Sayre atNo link to the test feed was given for the same reason that I never went into detail about the individual performances of the aggregators: I don’t want to deal with flack from aggregator authors (or their supporters) who feel they’ve somehow been slighted by the results. They’re not conformance tests - nobody is required to pass any of them. I merely provided the information to the RSS board because I thought it might be useful in the development of their “Best Practices Profile” or whatever the document is going to be called.
That said, anyone that thinks the tests might be helpful to them in improving their code is welcome to email me for a copy.
