Paul,
True, bug reports and the feedvalidator admin disucssion that took place today are inappropriate for the atom-protocol list. But the IETF runs on “rough concensus and running code” and the Atom Publishing Protocol Test Suite is running code.

Perhaps you guys could set up a private mailing list for the Feed Validator Advisory Board.

Robert, I’m banging the gavel on your little experiment. ;)

To people who object to Sam banging the gavel, he had to do it. It’s the only way to balance a group of people who claimed to have the exclusive right to do something specifically prohibited by the roadmap. You guys were about to waste a huge amount of your own time, but that wasn’t his main concern. Sam couldn’t allow you to take the Feed Validator through this messy process. Sam tried to work with you, but he was being blown off at every pass. That was Sam’s way of letting you know that he wasn’t going to negotiate anymore.
