I agree that the lock-in factor needs to be added to the checklists that people are using when building their web2.0 websites, but not all of the cool new “2.0” sites lock you in. In fact, many of the better sites often add features which allow you to take your data with you. Sure, almost all of them are lacking in this area, especially at launch time. But as the sites mature, this type of functionality is commonly added.
