Ahh, thanks. I had not yet found the libxml2 module for Ruby, and after also seeing the weakness of REXML (entity references? What are those?), I’d decided I wouldn’t do any XML processing in Ruby until I managed to install it.
Posted by adamc atAdam: don’t be confused by the names. libxml-ruby1.8 is libxml2. libxml-parser-ruby1.8 is expat. I’ve tried all three.
