NewsGator HTTP report card

Congratulations to Greg Reinacker for being the first to publish proper HTTP support results.  Two problems each were found in NewsGator and the tests themselves, all have been fixed.  Users of NewsGator should see the improvments in an upcoming 1.3 release.

Bravo!

How can we get report cards centralized or centrally linked?  Would a wiki page alone work?  Mostly a question for the aggregator authors, as they'd have to publish the results somewhere.

Early on in the development of syndic8 we deliberately chose NOT to implement report card systems.  Mainly because all aggregators, at the time, would have failed.  This would have done more to antagonize the reader developers than it would to have helped them.  It's very good to see that Mark's work is helping the developers come to terms with what is or isn't working in their products.

Bill, that was a good decision - given the context.

I would simply state that now we are aiming higher.  Good, clear, guidance, complete with testable assertions and ready access to test suites.
