Any bloggers in the area up for a dinner that week?
You know this.
Posted by Dare Obasanjo atAssuming I have no other appointments booked by my social organizer, my wife Barb, :-) count me in!
I'll drive up from Vancouver!
Count me in.
Posted by Brent Simmons atI will be there. Still trying to figure out my date of arrival though.
Posted by Miguel de Icaza atIf I can work it into my schedule, sure, I would be interested.
Posted by Rob McNair-Huff atI am there...
Posted by Chris Kinsman atRoland, surely that's "drive *down* from Vancouver"? Aren't you in BC?
I'm always up for a weblog gathering.
Although a bystander to the explicit WebLog, I'd like to attend. (an older Frontier user)
Posted by Baiss Magnusson atI'll be visiting Microsoft February 9 through 13 (and will be alone all day Sunday, February 9, so am looking to get something going that day).
Posted by Robert Scoble atAwww, yeahhh
Posted by Joshua Allen atI don't know you and you don't know me, but I'd be interested anyway.
Posted by Dan Hale atI just might be in Seattle area that weekend, so even though you all also dont know me, I might be down for it. Ill drive up from Vancouver, yes UP, Vancouver, Wa not BC.
Posted by Jeff Knox atThis sounds like an interesting opportunity to meet other bloggers.
Got it marked in my PDA!
+1
Posted by Don Box atCount me in. Here's why.
Posted by Ted Leung atyes, anita, I am still in BC
not good with directions!
I will drive SOUTH from Vancouver, BC which I must concede is down on conventional maps with North at the top :-) !
OK, this is starting to get a little sad. It sounds like there are going to be more people getting together with you in Redmond than attend our regular RTP bloggers lunch.

Posted by Keith Ballinger atHey, I would love to join y'all. I am recovering from a two year blogging hiatus and would like to get to know the seattle scene better.
My first blog posts were in the summer of 2002 at www.civilution.com, we flirted briefly with some tools in the blog space before pursuing money in other places. Now I am playing with movable type and working on my second blog at blogs.onenw.org/carl
Cheers,
I'm interested.
Posted by John Ludwig atI'm interested.
Posted by Gary Burd atI will definitely try to be there :)
Posted by Alexandre Rochette atI would love to do this. Please keep me informed.

atwow, this will work out swimmingly; where can we find a restaurant to seat 20+, though?

atI'm in. Sounds like it will be a crowded event :-)
Posted by David Weller atI'll venture to the east side for that.
Posted by Eric Soroos atI'd be interested, pending pinning down the final date. Though I'm having trouble coming up with somewhere on the east side (or Seattle for that matter) that would work for so many people.
Buca di Beppo ( http://seattle.citysearch.com/profile/35707604 ) tends to work out OK for us when we're doing big gatherings. It can get a little pricey depending on how much wine is consumed.
What if one of the MS bloggers sponsered the thing. We could hold it in one of the smaller MS cafeteria's or a large conference room and order Pagliaci Pizza! Very casual, but it would make it easy to talk. And, we can get pop for free. ;-)
Posted by Joe Friend atGiven the size (WOW!), casual makes a lot of sense to me. Just a random thought (I don't know the area well enough to know whether this makes sense or not, but here goes): how busy is a place like Crossroads Bellview likely to be on a weekday night in January? There are undoubtably better places to eat, but in a setting like this, people can come and go (and rearrange and mingle) as they please.
Posted by Sam Ruby atCrossroads would work okay, I guess. It would probably be more noisy than at MS. When I worked at MS I went to Crossroads for lunch, but I've never been there in the evening.
Posted by Joe Friend atCrossroads is a good food court, with enough flexible seating for almost any amount of people. I approve!
Posted by Anita Rowland atSam Ruby will be in Seattle in two weeks. On an unrelated note I was in West Virginia last night....
Excerpt from Matt Croydon::postneo atThe Crossroads food court should be big enough although it may be difficult for everyone to sit together.
Perhaps we need dinner and some sort of mingle event afterwards?
Wifi access points are another point in favor of Crossroads. There's an open access point near the chessboard and T-Mobile at the Starbucks.
Posted by Gary Burd atHeck, this sounds like so much fun I may just have to fly out there from Charlotte for the 'event'.
Posted by Don Smith atSo, are we set on Crossroads? What time and what day? How about 6pm on Jan. 28?
Posted by Joe Friend atJoe: date, time, and venue all are OK by me. Hopefully Dare or somebody else can come up with a nice post-dinner extra-curricular activity for us all to enjoy.
Posted by Sam Ruby atladies and gentlemen, introducing Michael! plans are still up in the air, but perhaps you'de like to join...
Excerpt from Objective atSomebody make sure to bring a digital camera for a photoblog...
Posted by Mike atAs usual, it's Sam Ruby's fault. I've been meaning to put up a blog for a while now, and just got started on getting one bolted together using pyblosxom. But this morning Aggie told me that Sam is coming to town. Consider me pushed over the cliff......
Excerpt from Ted Leung on the air atCrossroads is a really good idea; there is some great food (Good Pho, the only two places in Seattle that I know that have Dosa, Korean BBQ, etc.), configurable seating, two bookstores and a magazing rack with good techie magazine selection, starbucks, toy store, chess boards, etc. It's made for hanging out. I'll be there!
Posted by Joshua Allen atTuesday, the 28th of January, at or shortly after 6pm PST a bunch of ne'erdowells will decend on an unsuspecting Crossroads food court. This is totally adhoc - no invitation required. Consider yourself warned....

Posted by Matt Williams atI wish I could go to this Seattle weblogger dinner on January 28 that Sam Ruby is...
Excerpt from The Scobleizer Weblog atAdd me to the list too :)
Posted by Steve Makofsky atThere is a MSFT blogger dinner tonight. It should be fun. It seems like more and more people are blogging. There is also a shindig happening at Crossroads on Tues. I'll probably try to make it to that one also since it looks...
Excerpt from Joe Beda's EightyPercent.net atMonday, May 19th, Raleigh: TriJug Wednesday, May 21st, Redmond. Should we do another Crossroads thingie? Wednesday, May 28th, Boston, OSCom....
