Rael Dornfest: I spent a little time over the holidays whipping up a nice little prezzie for y'all: Blosxom 0+6i BETA 1 -- now with STATIC RENDERING! It seems to me this could be mixed with a little funky caching. After all, why generate citations hourly when they can be generated on demand and cached.

I have every intention of doing just that (thus my mention of hybrid).
The static rendering is upon request from a bunch of folks who don't have the ability to run CGI scripts on their servers and only can/want to serve up static pages.

Agreed ... I'm close to achieving the "funky caching" with my b2 powered blog by using jpcache. Seems to be working well, but needs some tweaking WRT expiring the cache when someone creates a new post or comment.
