Have dinner with me! -)
I live an hour North of Boston but can come in. Legal Seafoods is great, the North End of Boston has some of the best Italian food on this side of the Atlantic.
How about coming to my lab in Cambridge for dinner (Sam Gentile is invited too). Last Saturday we had Dave Winer, Phili Greenspun, and Miguel deIcaza. See Dave's Sunday blog.
We hung out from 6:30 to 11PM - great technical conversation!
Dave may be available Wednesday. I will invite him by email, assuming you like the idea.
Sam, Bob: any options that are inclusive of anybody who wishes to participate is fine with me.
Last time I saw Dave in person, he hadn't quit smoking yet.
Maybe we should go to a public restaurant to accomodate more people?
There is Dom's (the place Sam took us the last time he was here) in the North End, or that place Philip recomended in Central.
Miguel.
Miguel, will you be there? I am most wanting to meet you in person.
I'd lean more towards North End myself. I just pinged Jim Murphy and Dave Seidel via IM and they are both tied up tomorrow night
Dave is giving a couple-hour lecture at the Kennedy School of Politics until 6 or so. I am not surprised we have not heard back from him.
My lab has a very comfortable conference room (as Miguel will attest). It can comfortably handle 8-10 people (I have had 25 here with a buffet) around the conference table and we have a big 10-foot screen and data projector to surf. So if last minute people want to join, it should not be a problem.
Last time we catered Chinese, but we have good Greek and Italian options. We split it at $10 each so most anyone can afford it.

Hi Sam,
Any word on plans? I will be here at my lab in case you decide Cambridge works for you.
I have been reading your blog and essays and look forward to hearing your thoughts on where things are going.
I am helping to organize a conference at Harvard Berkman Center for Internet and Society in late May, and we want to be discussing current issues.
Dave Winer will keynote OSCOM, but he is unfortunately too busy to be with us tonight.
No problem.
I look forward to meeting you guys next time.
